- On a nice day, nothing beats climbing up the rig, and just look into the eternity.

Hanna Thevik is our content producer on board Statsraad Lehmkuhl. She takes the photos and finds the stories that are turned into articles and videos here on the website and elsewhere.

Hanna came on board Statsraad Lehmkuhl in New York, and together with the cadets from the Norwegian Naval Academy, she was thrown straight into a raging storm, on the way over to the Azores.

But Hanna stood her ground, and photographed and filmed throughout the whole thing.

We were not surprised. Hanna has sea water running in her veins. She comes from Aure in the western part of Norway, and has spent most of her time the last couple of years in the small fishing village Veiholmen.

To get there from the south, you must first travel to the city Kristiansund, then take two ferries out to the island of Smøla, and then drive ten kilometers to the north from island to island, until you reach a group of traditional wooden houses around a sheltered harbor.

Here, among just over 300 inhabitants, Hanna learned to love the sea, spending time in her grandfather's fishing boat from the age she could walk.

- I always long for the sea. If I can't see the sea, something is missing, she says.

Hanna is a trained journalist from Volda University College in Norway and Hawai'i Pacific University in the US, and has brought a camera with her on trips many times before.
